I have included two links to this section. The first link is an article on a rescued doberman, which relates back to the section on the doberman rescue sites. This particular doberman’s name is Kahn. Kahn was very mistreated by his previous owner, which is unsettling to hear. Thankfully, this wonderful family decided to adopt him regardless of his starved body, broken ribs, and bruises mentally and physically. This doberman proved all of the world wrong when he saved the family’s toddler from a venomous snake, risking his life in the process. This shows that these animals are not mean, and their reputation should not stop someone from giving a doberman a chance because these dogs really do have a heart of gold. It also shows that dobermans do have feelings and emotional and that each dog is different. Any dog can have a temperament, a dog is not automatic born with a temper.
I have also included a Pinterest link to show how these dogs can be good around children, backing up my article below as well. This picture does have the protective aspect to it, adding the humor of “chewing your face off.” Granted this dog most likely will not do that, but this doberman is just like any other protective, loyal dog. Notice in this photo that the dogs ears are cropped, adding the “doberman look” of intimidation. This doberman in the picture could be any other breed as well, except the reputation these dogs have makes them more prone to have these captions.
