“They Only Kill Their Masters” is a movie aired in 1972 regarding a woman murdered. The woman was either killed by man or her doberman. The trailer below shows just a couple minutes of this movie, with the doberman showing up a few times in the trailer. In most of the shots the doberman was present in, the dog is barking viciously and showing teeth. This is exactly the reputation dobermans have even today. To see that today’s society has not made many advances towards advocating for these animals is very disturbing to me. This movie, along with others made about dobermans, only includes the dobermans having done this horrific act. Whether it is killing a human or attacking a human, this dog breed will never catch a break in their reputation and how they are portrayed.
